“Mario Gaitanos, born Nov. 8, 1958, passed away at his home in Canton, Ohio on April 21, 2021. He joins his eldest son, Peter Gaitanos; and grandparents, Maria and Panagiotis Bascos and Christoforos and Eleni Gaitanos in eternal life. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Angela Gaitanos; his two sons, Saki and Gregory Gaitanos; devoted parents, Petros and Athanasia Gaitanos; sister, Sylvia (Steve) Stamoules; and brother Christopher (Pam) Gaitanos.
Mario will be remembered for his lightheartedness, eagerness to bear responsibility, and capacity to laugh and encourage those around him to share in his optimism. Mario achieved success in his professional career as a revered attorney, due in part to his exceptional work ethic and commitment to his clients. He was a lifelong member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church and the Canton chapter of AHEPA.”
